Graduated from Bethany in May 1985 and began my first teaching job in McPherson, KS, at Washington Elementary School. I taught SMH/TMH Level 1 there for 4 years and then moved back closer to home. Met my husband and was married. I took another special education teaching job at the Great Bend Middle School, working EMH/TMH students. While in Great Bend I began working toward my Masters in School Counseling. In 1997 I left Great Bend to take my first counseling job in Lewis. After being there for 2 years and missing my special students I took a transition counselor position in USD 495, where I served as the Middle School counselor for 10 years. In the summer of 2015 I began a new journey as the Director of our special education cooperative. Love being back in the special education field!!
